Vacation Shows

A fun girl trip to Mississippi in June 2008–the month I retired from teaching.

My nephew David and his wife Sanja chronicled their 2009 Caribbean cruise with some wonderful images. I took the liberty of creating a slide show of the good times they had. Aren’t they a lovely couple!

I don’t do many shows featuring Bob and me but did make this one of our trip to Las Vegas in August 2008. The trip was an I.Q. test that we both failed–it was 109 degrees!!! We had a wonderful time despite the heat, though. I had always wanted to see the Strip lit at night and a showgirl show; we did that and more, so now I have seen Vegas!

I know my pals will remember this fun little excursion. We attended a cooking class at the Viking Cooking School in Nashville in June. It was a fun trip. There were eleven of us with Huntsville ties and one unfortunate but friendly and gracious person we had never met who comprised the 12 “chefs for a day.” We prepared and ate our wonderful “fixings.” Now, we know why the chicken tastes so good–we learned how to pack gobs of herbed butter under the skin of the chicken! Sandra and I took a couple of breaks from the chores to make the images for the show. And, no, you don’t have to tell me that my French “stinks.” I actually don’t know any–but it was fun making the captions, nonetheless!

NYC 2009

New York is cold in December as at least eight G.R.I.T.S. can attest! However, we had a great time as evidenced by this show. This was a “girl trip” to The Big Apple prior to Christmas last year.
